Andrew Ngatia’s musical journey started in 1998, when he got the opportunity to learn and play the drums. As the years passed he learnt also the piano, bass guitar and electric guitar.
The prowess in handling these musical instruments has seen Andrew play for Maia Von Lekow, Sauti Sol and The Beathogs just to mention a few artistes. He has graced global musical events sharing a stage with such great acts as Ladysmith Black Mambazo and the legendary Hugh Masekela.
In the course of this musical journey he started to compose his own songs and eventually formed TARAJI, an afro eclectic band, in 2016.
Andrew started teaching drums in 2003 and later guitar and piano in 2010. In this quest, he strives to instill control of rhythm and speed while ensuring independence in all his students from the onset. This never interferes with the most precious goal; fun, fun and fun.
